James (Jim) was born and raised on a farm in Northwest Iowa, while growing up and in school he spent a lot of time learning different construction trades and building homes. After gradution from South Dakota State Univeristy earning a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, he returned to Northwest Iowa and worked twelve years at an electric motor company where he spent time in engineering, sales, and manufacturing.

John was born and raised on a dairy farm in Central Wisconsin. He moved to Yankton in 2018 with his wife Christi and their 2 children, after 2 years in North East Texas and 5 years in Las Vegas, NV. John has over 25 years experience in steel building, wood structures, interior build outs, as well as concrete. This includes all types of commercial, residential and agricultural buildings from ground breaking to completion. John enjoys hunting and spending time on the lake with his family and friends.

Evan was born and raised in the Yankton area. Evan has an eye for detail and the ability to adapt on the go. In his free time Evan enjoys hunting and spending time with his family.

Chris was born and raised in Southeast South Dakota. After graduating high school he went right to work learning all different trades from welding to construction. He has an eye for detail and will make sure your building is done in a timely manner.

Teresa was born and raised in Northwest Iowa. After graduation from South Dakota State University with a degree in Medical Technology she spent the next twelve years working in a hospital laboratory. Teresa's background has given her an eye for detail and a sense of urgency. She will make sure your project is her priority.

Curtis was born and raised in Yankton. He has an eye for detail and the ability to solve any problem presented to him. Curtis is looking forward to the customer interaction at James Steel. In his free time he enjoys watching movies, attending concerts and building Lego's with his two children.
